I have been so engaged with the children this week that I didn't take any pictures of them or our activities at all! We have been playing in leaves, harvesting the garden, and visiting local playgrounds in this gloriously warm spring weather. We are eating lots of apples - straight from the tree, as applesauce, in pies, and dried - as well as vegetables (corn, peas, beans, and carrots) from the garden. We have brought in all of our gorgeous pumpkins, and made a delicious pumpkin loaf out of one of them; it was so tasty! The week had been filled with images of leaves falling and the sensory experience of crunching them underfoot. I wanted to leave at least one image for you all, so here is the beautiful new lamp adorning our living room. It came from the Netherlands, and the children happily gather around it wonder each morning. It is the perfect thing to brighten up our darkening fall days!
